Consider Voluntary Simplicity: For Your Life

When you've faced breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, you have every reason to eliminate stress from your daily living. There are several ways to do this. One option you might not have considered is the Voluntary Simplicity movement. With roots in ancient civilizations, it has grown in the modern world with help from  Thoreau's Walden, the religious philosophies of Quakers, Amish, Shakers; and other environmental and social champions. However, voluntary simplicity does not mean choosing to live in poverty or adopting strict back-to-nature practices: It's a diverse movement whose components can be individually applied to many different lifestyles.
